The autumn edition of Kapana Fest 2026 is opening in Plovdiv, celebrating the creative community, supporting people in need and caring for the city. The programme spans two weekends: 2–4 October and 9–11 October.
This autumn, the festival is also introducing new street furniture to enhance its venue near Tsentralen Square. Developed in cooperation with Plovdiv Municipality, the installations include planters with integrated benches and poles for decorative lights, flags and seasonal decorations. They are being used for the first time at this edition. The intention is for them to remain available to residents, providing more greenery, seating and a welcoming setting for meeting and relaxing, said event organiser Nikola Sivkov.
From 2 to 4 October, the Kapana Bazaar will welcome visitors with a carefully curated selection of exhibitors and original creations. Its compact format during the first weekend takes account of the other events around Tsentralen Square and the organisers’ wish to offer audiences a shared and varied experience.
Kapana Fest is taking place alongside Plovdiv’s Book Alley, running from 28 September to 4 October, and the Station Street Festival, held from 2 to 4 October. The teams behind the three events aim to promote one another, share audiences and coordinate their communications. Visitors will be able to combine encounters with books and authors, live music and the discovery of independent creators in a single walk through the city centre.
From 9 to 11 October, Kapana Fest 2026 continues with concerts, charity evenings supporting children and the family of Georgi Uzunov, known as Blazy, a guest appearance by Mona, and other events. Proceeds from charity tickets for the festival evenings on 9 and 10 October will be donated to three campaigns for children in need, which will be presented on the Kapana Fest website, the organisers said.
Through its autumn edition, Kapana Fest highlights its values: support for independent creators and craftspeople, quality music, solidarity and care for shared urban spaces. According to Nikola Sivkov, the aim of this edition is clear: to bring people together, support charitable causes and create a space for culture with a lasting contribution that extends beyond the final concert.
Kapana Fest is supported by Plovdiv Municipality and forms part of the city’s Cultural Calendar for 2026.
