NSORB Signs Partnership Agreement for Project Implementing the European Child Guarantee

On 16 January 2026, the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria (NSORB) signed a partnership agreement and officially joined as an associated partner in a project proposal under procedure BG05SFPR002-2.013, titled “Establishment and Maintenance of a Coordination Mechanism for the Implementation of All Activities under the European Child Guarantee”, within the Human Resources Development Programme (HRDP) 2021–2027.

NSORB’s participation is in line with a decision of the Monitoring Committee of the HRDP 2021–2027, related to the operation for establishing and maintaining a coordination mechanism for implementing the European Child Guarantee. The project is led by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, with the National Statistical Institute as the main partner. Associated partners include the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, the Ministry of Interior, the Agency for Social Assistance, the State Agency for Child Protection, and NSORB.

The project aims to build and maintain a sustainable coordination mechanism between institutions for the implementation of European Child Guarantee activities at regional and local levels, as well as to strengthen administrative capacity and intersectoral coordination among the involved stakeholders.

NSORB’s involvement as an associated partner is a natural continuation of the Association’s active engagement in the planning and monitoring processes of the operation, as well as its role as the national representative of municipalities – key actors in implementing the European Child Guarantee at the local level. Within the project, NSORB will facilitate the inclusion of municipal representatives in planned activities, disseminate information through its communication channels, and identify and engage local experts, practitioners, and other stakeholders to ensure broad representation and effective dialogue.
